SCJ Associates provides a wide range of manufacturing services. We offer everything from Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA), through a complete product assembly (box build) services to customers who need electro-mechanical assembly support beyond the circuit board level. This includes electrical enclosures and backplanes, cable and wire harnesses and other higher-level assembly requirements. Our box build assembly service also includes engineering, analysis, and testing services. SCJ is a trusted partner to our customers and Prime Contractors mission critical needs. We will collaborate with you in the early design stages for DFM/DFT, build your prototype using our automated processes, and streamline it through production quantities. We even have a small machine shop to support our customer manufacturing needs. Depending on your needs, choose one of our services or a project that encompasses them all.

PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARD ASSEMBLY
Whether it is a simple assembly with a few parts or a densely populated SMT board with many thousands of parts, we have state-of-the-art equipment to ensure quality, accuracy, and repeatability. Our operators are certified to the IPC J-STD-001GS and IPC-A-610 class 2 and 3.
Once a PCBA is fitted with all necessary components and passed through the SMT assembly line, it is verified for compliance with customer CAD data using AOI machines. Boards with bottom terminated components will go through x-ray inspection to ensure part-placement accuracy. Each assembly may then be subjected to visual inspection and/or functionally tested to customer specifications by a dedicated staff of test engineers.

CABLE ASSEMBLY
SCJ specializes in complex interconnects that power a variety of market sectors. Our technicians are certified to IPC/WHMA-A-620C, Class III Standards. For those products that need it, we are Underwriters Laboratory (UL) listed for wire harnesses. From a few to several thousand assemblies, we have the equipment and personnel to meet your specific needs.

RoHS MANUFACTURING
Since 2005 SCJ has been fully compliant with the EC Directive on Restriction and Use of Hazardous Substances. SCJ worked extensively to meet and exceed the July 1st, 2006 RoHS deadline establishing a world-class material handling and lead-free manufacturing process. The manufacturing operation was configured to allow for both leaded and lead-free production. Our staff is highly trained to handle and manufacture RoHS-compliant products. We have developed processes and procedures to manage concurrent production of RoHS assemblies and non-RoHS assemblies.

COUNTERFEIT PARTS MANAGEMENT
SCJ has developed procedures to mitigate the risk of counterfeit parts being introduced into customer products (SCJ QOP-7.4-02).
- Components are only procured from Franchised Distributors for the specified components.
- Customer approval is required for procurement of obsolete components from brokers.
- BGAs procured from approved brokers require De-cap & 100% electrical testing.
- SCJ has no known incidences of supplying customer products with counterfeit material.
